Yes, I think you are probably right and that it would be quite soft. It must be the Icelandic jumper I am wearing today that is making me itch - not soft at all!!
I have a dog who sheds hair all the time so it would not take very long to gather enough hair from her to make a very large jumper or even a coat! Never thought about it. The needles they do the knitting with must be very thin?
I recently saw some doghair wool, handspun by my weaving master. She had collected it over some time from her dog. It was unlike any wool I have ever seen. Haven't touched it yet--next week I'll try!
I think it rather feels soft..curious about how long they have done to collect the hair. The colors a nice!
ReplyDeletesoft I should imagine, although years in the making.
ReplyDeleteWell, why not? Sheep fur or dog fur...
ReplyDeleteSome they dog and master are often in harmony, now it's obvious! ;-)
